- 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Like so many people across our nation, I had a family member who answered the call to serve when our country needed them most.
It was my granddaddy, Drexel Turner.
About 10 years ago, I was looking at my granddaddy's medals and it had a profound effect on me.
So I wrote this song as a tribute to him, and I dedicated now to him and to all of America's unsung heroes.
